Hi All!

YAY!!! My 1st completed model of my upcoming Imperial Guard army!!! (Yes, I WILL be playing IG!!!

)

Seeing the new IG codex, Vendetta gunships (a variant of the Valkyrie transport) are a MUST TAKE!!! AV F12 S12 R10, Fast, Skimmer, Transport value of 12 and armed with 3 TWIN-LINKED LASCANNONS, for 130 pts!!! (A regular Valkyrie is 100pts.) O_O

Haven't worked out a list yet... All I know is that it's gonna involve lotsa Vendettas and Leman Russes.

Anyways, I digress. Colour scheme inspired by WW2 Germans (the Waffen-SS to be exact). This will be my colour scheme for my IG army!

Hmm... Instead of Panzergrenadiers (Armoured infantry) as the mechanized German infantry are called, I think I'll call my IG the 'Walküregrenadiers' (Valkyrie infantry). lol

Converted the Vendetta by using the Lascannon sponsons from the Space Marine Land Raider. Simply attached it to the wing hardpoints!

BTW, the symbol on the wings are hand-painted.

Black primer, Codex Grey drybrush; Fortress Grey drybrush and finally Skull White light drybrush for highlights.

kk. cuz that is way 2 raw. I play IG and am also a huge WWII buff. I dunno why it didn't occur 2 me 2 paint my models with WWII Paint Schemes

I would have more respect for this if only the rules stated that the Valkyrie was still a flyer. Having it as a skimmer just doesn't make sense - it would be like saying that a fighter-bomber can manoeuvre with the precision of an attack helicopter (even including VTOL jump jets). Still nice to see variants of WH40k flyers in model form though.
